Port of Fleetwood

Harbour Information, Terminals and Facilities
(Fleetwood, Lancashire, England, UK)

Situated on the southern edge of Morecambe Bay, Fleetwood ferry port is a facility owned and operated by Associated British Ports and it provides an essential sea connection between England and Northern Ireland.

The port offers limited facilities, which include a convenience shop and a café. A greater selection of facilities can be found in the town itself, which is situated extremely close to the ferry port terminal.

The area around the port is set to receive a big boost to its profile with the building of the Fleetwood Harbour Village, a multi-million pound retail and leisure development. It's hoped that the development will encourage more passengers to sail from Fleetwood, as opposed to the most convenient alternative, which is the Liverpool to Belfast route.

Fleetwood sits on the doorstep of scenic Lancashire and the infinitely more popular town of Blackpool, which is one of England's traditional seaside resorts, offering a plethora of attractions.

Ferry Services

Stena Line operates the most significant service from Fleetwood's ferry port, with twice daily crossings to Larne in Northern Ireland. The company operates three vessels along this route, all of which are equipped with a similarly good selection of passenger facilities.

There is also a minor service operating from Fleetwood to the Port of Douglas in the Isle of Man, which is provided by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. This service is limited to a handful of crossings per week, with increased availability during the summer months. The company operates a large fleet and varying schedules determine which vessel serves this route.
